Cross-wire welding analyzed by experiments and simulations

چکیده

Resistance welding of crossed wires, e.g. used in the electronics industry or fabrication wire meshes, is analyzed by both experiments and numerical modeling using an electro-thermo-mechanical finite element formulation. Welding machine characteristics are discussed necessary requirements to type concluded. Cross-wire stainless steel, structural steel aluminum presented, differences process flash formation discussed. It shown that joints primarily due solid-state bonding local melting. The simulations compare well at low weld settings, while remaining challenges for simulation high settings identified terms mesh detailed description follow up electrode force movement.

Temperature Effect on Mechanical Properties of Top Neck Mollusk Shells Nano-Composite by Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Nano-Indentation Experiments

Discovering the mechanical properties of biological composite structures at the Nano-scale is much interesting today. Top Neck mollusk shells are amongst biomaterials Nano-Composite that their layered structures are composed of organic and inorganic materials. Since the Nano indentation process is known as an efficient method to determine mechanical properties like elastic modulus and hardness ...

Hot-Wire Chemical Vapor Deposition of Silicon and Silicon Nitride for Photovoltaics: Experiments, Simulations, and Applications

Hot-wire chemical vapor deposition is a promising technique for deposition of thin amorphous, polycrystalline, and epitaxial silicon films for photovoltaic applications. Fundamental questions remain, however, about the gas-phase and surface-kinetic processes involved. To this end, the nature of the wire decomposition process has been studied in detail by use of mass spectrometry. Atomic silicon...

Models, Simulations, and Experiments

I discuss the difference between models, simulations, and experiments from an epistemological and an ontological perspective. I first distinguish between ‘static’ models (like a map) and ‘dynamic’ models endowed with the capacity to generate processes. Only the latter can be used to simulate. I then criticise the view according to which the difference between models/simulations and experiments ...

Tušek: Bridging of Welding Gaps in Welding with a Multiple-wire Electrode

An investigation on bridging larger welding gaps between workpieces occurring in practice due to structural requirements or to defects in weld edge preparation is described. Some characteristic cases from practice where a larger root gap should be bridged or the space between two or three workpieces should be filled with a greater quantity of filler material are described. Submerged-arc welding...
